The Greater Accra Regional Shipper Committee (GARSC) of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) has held its second quarter meeting Wednesday June 27, 2018 at the Ghana Shippers’ House in Accra.
The meeting, the 101th edition since the establishment of the GARSC, brought together over 100 representatives from both public, private institutions and state agencies whose businesses affect the supply and demand of shipping services.
Mr Anthony Nyame Baafi , Director of Multilateral, Regional and Bilateral Trade at the Ministry of Trade and Industry took the participants through the topic : “ The African Continental Free Trade Area, and its impact on Ghanaian businesses “.
The Head of Research and Monitoring Department of the GSA, Mr Emmanuel Arku also took the participants through the causes of demurrage and ways to avoid them.
