{"id":5442,"date":"2021-10-05T12:52:10","date_gmt":"2021-10-05T11:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/?p=5442"},"modified":"2021-10-05T12:52:10","modified_gmt":"2021-10-05T11:52:10","slug":"six-smes-recognised-at-2021-ghana-shippers-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vigorous-feistel.187-124-37-238.plesk.page\/?p=5442","title":{"rendered":"Six SMES Recognised at 2021 Ghana Shippers\u2019 Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Six Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the shipping and logistics industry have been recognised at the Ghana Shippers Awards held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Kempinshi Hotel Accra.<\/p>\n<p>The 4<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the awards highlighted the efforts of the SMEs and their contribution to the economy in terms of payment of taxes and job creation which has seen significant growth over the years.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5451\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-05-at-9.35.18-AM.jpeg\" \/>The firms recognised were agro-processing enterprise Touch Skies, vegetables and tuber exporter Infinity Links, textiles and garment exporter Edtex Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>The others were second-hand automotive importer Georgidus Enterprise, fruit exporter Milani Ltd while\u00a0Talensi Ltd is into fashion and accessories export.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers&#8217; Authority (GSA),\u00a0Ms.\u00a0Benonita Bismarck presented the awards to the companies.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5452\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-05-at-9.35.57-AM.jpeg\" \/>In her speech, she acknowledged the hard times as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and expressed optimism for the future as the shipping and logistics sector has proven to be resilient and adapted to the new normal quickly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the Board, Management and Staff of the Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority, I wish to use this opportunity to salute and congratulate all importers, exporters and shipping service providers for their perseverance and continued dedication to their work during this abnormal period. We are all winners as we have been able to face the pandemic through innovative ideas and business solutions\u201d Ms. Bismarck said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5453 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-10-05-at-9.36.25-AM.jpeg\" \/>The Deputy Minister for Transport, HON.
