{"id":4962,"date":"2020-11-12T09:50:56","date_gmt":"2020-11-12T09:50:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/?p=4962"},"modified":"2020-11-12T09:50:56","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T09:50:56","slug":"gsa-lauds-commitment-of-police-to-addressing-road-governance-challenges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vigorous-feistel.187-124-37-238.plesk.page\/?p=4962","title":{"rendered":"GSA lauds commitment of police to addressing road governance challenges."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority (GSA), Ms. Benonita Bismarck has lauded the police service for its commitment to addressing road governance challenges in the promotion of transit trade.<\/p>\n<p>She said under the able leadership of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh, the GSA is enjoying good collaboration with the police service&nbsp; in addressing bottlenecks relating to its operations impeding the smooth passage of transit trucks along Ghana\u2019s transit corridors.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4967 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/5ad09a0e-ad02-42c4-9dd6-cf9664d09752-1.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>A group photograph after the seminar<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>These were said on her behalf by the Head of Freight and Logistics of the GSA, Mr. Fred Asiedu-Dartey &nbsp;on 11th November, 2020&nbsp; in Kumasi during &nbsp;the first in a series&nbsp; of a sensitisation workshop organised by the GSA &nbsp;to sensitise senior police officers on the importance of the transit trade. The event also sought to address key concerns relating to the conduct of&nbsp; police officers deployed along the corridors.<\/p>\n<p>She said the sensitisation was necessitated by feedback from the GSA\u2019s E-platform system for monitoring non-tariff trade barriers along Ghana\u2019s major corridors.
