The Terminal Operations were completed with 3,290 crane moves in 29.5 hours, breaking a new record of 111.4 moves per hour against 103.9 recorded in December 2019. This is the all-time record for Terminal 3 at Tema Port and certainly by far the best in West Africa.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4683\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Internet_20200524_170757_2.jpeg.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"797\" height=\"414\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">MSC Altair is one of the large ships in a fleet of Container Vessels deployed on a weekly service into Ghana called AFEX (African Express) following the successful completion of MPS Terminal 3 at Tema Port. She is able to carry a capacity of 13,100 T<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">EUs. Her length overall (LOA) is 366.46 meters and her width is 48.26 meters and Gross Tonnage 141,635.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The first sailing for the MSC AFEX service was from Xingang started in October with the MSC Ravenna vessel with total carrying capacity of 14,000 TEUs. Connecting Tema directly to several ports (Xingang \u2013 Busan \u2013 Gwangyang \u2013 Ningbo \u2013 Shanghai \u2013 Nansha \u2013 Shekou \u2013 Singapore \u2013 Colombo \u2013 Lom\u00e9 \u2013 Tema \u2013 Durban \u2013 Port Louis \u2013 Colombo \u2013 Singapore \u2013 Xingang).
