The commendation was delivered by the Minister of Transport, Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, during the launch of the GSA&#8217;s 50th Anniversary Celebrations in Accra.<\/p>\n<p>The Golden Jubilee, themed &#8220;Celebrating 50 Years of Resilience, Honouring Our Legacy, and Inspiring Innovation Excellence,&#8221; highlights the GSA&#8217;s journey as a cornerstone of Ghana&#8217;s maritime sector. In his remarks, Hon. Asiamah expressed confidence that the GSA will achieve even greater milestones with the enactment of the GSA Act 2024, Act 1122.<\/p>\n<p><em><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-41109\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-2-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" \/>\u201cThis is not the time to rest on your oars but to leverage on the passage of the GSA Act 2024, Act 1122 to work assidoulys to create a viable shipping environment that facilitates international trade and ensures fairness, efficiency and competitiveness for all players in the commercial shipping industry.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For his part, the Chief Executive Officer of the GSA, Mr. Kwesi Baffour Sarpong, provided a glimpse into the Authority&#8217;s future, emphasizing plans to embrace cutting-edge innovations and expand its role in shaping the nation&#8217;s international trade landscape.<\/p>\n<p><em><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-41111\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" \/>\u201cOur vision for the next 50 years, we are looking at 7 focused areas; Customer centric Services and Organizational Growth, Trade Facilitation and Economic Integration, Shipping and Logistics Infrastructure, Digitalization &amp; Innovation, Human Capital Development, Sustainability and Green Shipping as well as Local Content participation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The GSA&#8217;s 50th Anniversary is not only a celebration of its resilience and achievements but also a call to action for continued excellence.
