{"id":4043,"date":"2019-09-27T12:37:41","date_gmt":"2019-09-27T11:37:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/?p=4043"},"modified":"2019-09-27T12:37:41","modified_gmt":"2019-09-27T11:37:41","slug":"borderless-alliance-ghana-collaborates-gsa-hold-multi-stakeholder-dialogue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vigorous-feistel.187-124-37-238.plesk.page\/?p=4043","title":{"rendered":"Borderless Alliance Ghana collaborates with GSA to hold a multi-stakeholder dialogue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Borderless Alliance Ghana in collaboration with Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority (GSA) held a multi-stakeholder dialogue on the ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme (ETLS) and Africa Continental Free Trade Area on 26<sup>th&nbsp;<\/sup>September, 2019.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4050\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Boarderless4.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>The meeting themed \u201cUnlocking African Private Sector Growth through Addressing Trade Barriers: the Role of Advocacy\u201d highlighted the opportunities and challenges associated with government and business across the continent. It also gave an overview of the AfCFTA and updated participants and resource persons on its progress as well as challenges preventing Ghanaian businesses from accessing the West African market using ETLS.<\/p>\n<p>The National President for Borderless Alliance Ghana, Ziad Hamoui in his address stated that, they are excited about the potential agreement and the significance of having the secretariat in Ghana but they are also aware of the many responsibilities and challenges which need to be addressed before there can be a full reap of benefits from the implementation as government, businesses and as individuals in the coming months and years.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4048\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/boarderless3.jpg\">The Head of Finance at the GSA, Mr Peter Mensah Abrampah in a speech read on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Ms Benonita Bismarck emphasized that, the GSA remains committed to its mandate of promoting and protecting the interests of shippers in Ghana.
