The Executive Secretary for JAPTU, Alhaji Musah Ibrahim guided participants on \u00a0the modalities forthe implementation of TLA at the Takoradi Port. The outlined areas focused on leveraging technology, ensuring compliance, and prioritizing safety throughout the cargo loading process.<\/p>\n
The forum follows the recent reorganization of members from the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (G.P.R.T.U) and the Ghana Haulage Truck Drivers Association (G.H.T.D.A)to the Joint Association of Port Transport Unions (JAPTU). This strategic initiative aims to \u00a0professionalise the trucking sector within the Takoradi Port Supply Chain. The primary objectives are to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in cargo delivery operations and to facilitate accountability among truck drivers and owners in the cargo value chain.<\/p>\n The Truck drivers \u00a0emphasized the need for training opportunities that would allow them to become acquainted with the TLA system, its functionalities, and \u00a0the total navigation of the digital platform.
