{"id":34780,"date":"2023-02-24T18:31:07","date_gmt":"2023-02-24T18:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/?p=34780"},"modified":"2023-02-24T18:31:07","modified_gmt":"2023-02-24T18:31:07","slug":"engage-relevant-state-agencies-to-avoid-delays-in-shipping-procedures-gsa-to-smes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vigorous-feistel.187-124-37-238.plesk.page\/?p=34780","title":{"rendered":"Engage Relevant State Agencies to Avoid Delays in Shipping Procedures \u2013 GSA to SMEs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have been advised to seek information on shipping opportunities from relevant state agencies to help expand their operations. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">The advice was given by the Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority (GSA) during its routine visit to Hilly Hills College of Arts at Pokuase, exporters of beads and Made-In-Ghana garments; and Akowuah Ventures, importers of vehicles from Korea on Wednesday 22<sup class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">nd<\/sup>\u00a0February 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34783\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-02-24-at-14.21.22.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" \/>An Officer from the Shipper Services and Trade Facilitation Department of the GSA, Basil Sennor said: \u201cState agencies in the import and export space have tons of information; and have designated Information Desks to advice SMEs that are interested in the export business\u201d. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">To the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Hilly Hills College of Arts, Madam Hilda Amonoo, Mr. Sennor advised; \u201cSeveral sensitisation workshops are held but my advice is for you to visit their offices to be given information that is tailored to the situation your Enterprise finds itself in,\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0He added that with the advent of the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) there are several opportunities SMEs can take advantage of. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34781\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-02-24-at-14.20.22.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" \/>The GSA used the opportunity to encourage the shippers to participate in the impending Health Walk being organised by the Greater Accra Regional Shipper Committee. The event is scheduled to be held on Saturday 4<sup class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">th<\/sup>\u00a0March 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">They were also encouraged to take advantage of the\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">27<sup class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of the Ghana International Trade Fair to be held at the West Hills Mall from Wednesday1st to Tuesday 7th March 2023 to market their goods to the public.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34782\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-02-24-at-14.20.56.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" \/>The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Akowuah Ventures, Justice Akowuah commended the GSA for the regular visits to shippers besides the routine Shipper Committee meetings.
