{"id":32469,"date":"2023-01-20T12:22:01","date_gmt":"2023-01-20T12:22:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/?p=32469"},"modified":"2023-01-20T12:22:01","modified_gmt":"2023-01-20T12:22:01","slug":"adhere-to-the-approved-rates-only-giff-tells-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vigorous-feistel.187-124-37-238.plesk.page\/?p=32469","title":{"rendered":"Adhere to the Approved Rates Only \u2013 GIFF Tells Members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">Freight Forwarders have been asked to work within the newly approved rates negotiated with the Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority (GSA) to enhance the professionalism in their service.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">The new rates which took effect on 1st January 2023 is not only intended to guide importers and exporters to plan their operations but is also to check the cost of doing business in the country and ensure price predictability for the next two (2) years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31931\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/IMG_2642-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" \/>The appeal was made by the 1st Vice President of GIFF, Mr Paul Kobina Mensah when he participated in a discussion on the Port and Maritime television programme, \u2018Eye On Port\u2019 on Sunday 8th January 2023. \u201cAny rate that is not published on the GSA website does not apply and I urge all Freight Forwarders to adhere to the approved rates only\u201d Mr Mensah noted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">The Head of Freight and Logistics Department of the GSA, Mr. Fred Asiedu Dartey who was also on the programme explained that the negotiations were done in a manner that would be mutually beneficial to all parties.
