{"id":3149,"date":"2019-03-01T10:36:36","date_gmt":"2019-03-01T10:36:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/?p=3149"},"modified":"2019-03-01T10:36:36","modified_gmt":"2019-03-01T10:36:36","slug":"23rd-international-trade-fair-opens-accra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vigorous-feistel.187-124-37-238.plesk.page\/?p=3149","title":{"rendered":"23rd International Trade Fair opens in Accra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 23<sup>rd &nbsp;<\/sup>Ghana International Trade Fair has opened in Accra with over 500 exhibitors from companies, small and medium scale enterprises and state agencies participating.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3153\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Ogoula-1024x683.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Head of Shipper Services and Trade Facilitation of the GSA, Mrs Naa Densua Aryeetey taking the Secretary General of UASC, Mr Ogoula Giscard Lilian &nbsp;through some of the activities of the Authority on display at the Trade Fair.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The trade fair will span a period of 12 days from 28<sup>th&nbsp;<\/sup>February to 11<sup>th&nbsp;<\/sup>March, 2019 at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre.<\/p>\n<p>In a keynote address, the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Carlos Ahenkorah said government is committed to enhancing domestic trade by promoting made-in-Ghana goods at trade fairs and shows.<\/p>\n<p>He said the implementation of the reviewed Export Promotion Strategy would double export volumes while the \u2018One District, One Factory\u2019 policy is setting Ghana on an industrial promotion drive.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3152\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/SG2-1024x683.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>The Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry , Mr Carlos Ahenkorah in chat with the UASC Secretary General at the Trade Fair<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mr Ahenkora said these interventions would promote the consumption of Ghana-made goods locally and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>The CEO of the Ghana Trade Fair Company Ltd, Dr Agnes Adu noted that the participation of the Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority at the trade fair would provide a good platform for the exhibitors to access shipping information and assistance for their businesses.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s trade fair which is being marked under the theme \u201cMade in Ghana, Globally accepted\u201d has attracted exhibitors from West African countries, Germany, Turkey, USA and across the world.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3151\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/SG4-1024x683.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>A group photo at the Authority&#8217;s stand at the Trade Fair<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 23rd &nbsp;Ghana International Trade Fair has opened in Accra with over 500 exhibitors from companies, small and medium scale enterprises and state agencies participating.
