{"id":1414,"date":"2017-10-31T09:51:16","date_gmt":"2017-10-31T09:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/?p=1414"},"modified":"2017-10-31T09:51:16","modified_gmt":"2017-10-31T09:51:16","slug":"load-restriction-buipe-yapei-bridges-kintampo-tamale-road-n10-highway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vigorous-feistel.187-124-37-238.plesk.page\/?p=1414","title":{"rendered":"LOAD RESTRICTION ON THE BUIPE AND YAPEI BRIDGES ON THE KINTAMPO \u2013 TAMALE ROAD (N10 HIGHWAY)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1415\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:10003\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/GsaLogo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"77\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">NOTICE TO SHIPPERS<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>LOAD RESTRICTION ON THE BUIPE AND YAPEI BRIDGES ON THE KINTAMPO \u2013 TAMALE ROAD (N10 HIGHWAY)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority wishes to bring to the attention of all shippers and hauliers in the northern sector of Ghana as well as those from our landlocked neighbours of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger that, with immediate effect, vehicles weighing more than twenty (20) tonnes would not be allowed to use the Buipe and Yapei Bridges on the Kintampo \u2013 Tamale road.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Highway Authority has indicated that the load restriction on the aforementioned deteriorated bridges, is a preventive measure to avert any disaster on the bridges before rehabilitation works are carried out.<\/p>\n<p>The two bridges are scheduled to be fully closed for rehabilitation at a date yet to be communicated.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, the Ghana Highway Authority has made provision for alternative routes for vehicles weighing more than 20 tonnes, but within the permissible axle limits, as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Western Corridor: <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Accra \u2013 Kumasi \u2013 Techiman \u2013 Wenchi \u2013 Bamboi \u2013 Bole \u2013 Wa.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Eastern Corridor: <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Accra \u2013 Tema \u2013 Hohoe \u2013 Jasikan \u2013 Nkwanta \u2013 Oti Damanko \u2013 Bimbilla \u2013 Yendi<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Central Corridor: <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Accra \u2013 Kumasi \u2013 Mampong \u2013 Ejura \u2013 Atebubu \u2013 Yeji (Ferry Crossing) \u2013 Salaga<\/p>\n<p>Accra \u2013 Kumasi \u2013 Techiman \u2013 Nkoranza \u2013 Ejura \u2013 Atebubu \u2013 Yji (Ferry Crossing) \u2013 Salaga.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Shippers\u2019 Authority kindly entreats all shippers and hauliers to comply with above directive to ensure the smooth flow of their businesses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Signed<\/p>\n<p><strong>BENONITA B.
