As part of a programme of activities to sensitize importers and exporters across the country on the implementation of the paperless operations at the Port, the GSA organized an open forum for spare parts dealers at Abossey Okai in Accra on 30th August 2017.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the forum, Mrs. Naa Densua Aryeetey. Head of Shipper Services and Trade Facilitation said the economy of the country largely depends on the shippers and it is important the shipper work closely with the stakeholders. She said the paperless system will ensure transparency, save time and reduce cost of doing business at the port for the benefit of the shipper. She therefore encouraged to do their part in the implementation process for business to grow.<\/p>\n
A Deputy Commissioner at GRA Customs Division, Mr. Yamutse noted that vehicles and their spare parts imported into the country constitute about 10 to 17 percent of the total revenue generated annually by GRA and therefore commended the spare part dealers at Abossey Okai for their contribution to the economy.<\/p>\n
Abena Serwaaa, Head of Corporate Services and Marketing at GPHA mentioned that the new system will allow shippers to use the GCNet and West Blue online platforms to make electronic payments, check delivery orders and other transactions when clearing their goods.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
